There are actually ways to stay young without necessarily shelling out all your life savings. Of course, this should be done as a preventive measure and not when the aging process has already taken place.

To grow old is probably one of the nightmares for most people. Well, you can’t blame them. With how “old age” is being depicted right now, they will think that living with wrinkles and white hair is something worse than actual dying. It shouldn’t be.

Smiling and laughing relaxes the mind and the muscles of the face and the body. This prevents the wrinkling of the skin. It is also believed that people who smile use less muscles when they do as compared to people who frown or keep a straight face. Not only will exercise make you lose the fats in your body but will also help you remove the toxins in your body. Through the perspiration and the other water wastes, the toxins in the body can be flushed out. These toxins are the ones that clog the pores and the skin cells, contributing to a faster aging process.

Live each day in the present. And though you have your dreams to look forward to and the past to learn from, you use them as your guide. Don’t dwell on them or make them the center of your life. Too much thinking can sometimes make your life miserable. Worrying about the future and thinking about the past will only add to your wrinkles. Set yourself free and just live day to day.
What is good about aging is the fact that though it is inevitable, it is something that we can control. It isn’t true then that we are basically powerless when it comes to the aging process. We have always heard health experts say that people should get at least 8 hours of sleep but despite this advice, there are those who rest for only 4 to 6 everyday. One way to increase this is by reducing the time watching late night television or partying till the early morning so the body will be ready for the challenges of the following day.

To avoid prolonged exposure to the sun’s rays, try not to go out outdoors during high-intensity hours— from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—because this is the time when the sun’s rays are most damaging.

By covering your skin with articles of clothing like long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats, you can keep your skin away from UV rays. Also, opt for fabrics that are can offer better protection form the sun.
Sleep early and properly - you can’t throw away your face just because it is greeting you angrily in the mirror with a haggard look. The most basic is still to get beauty rest the night before a special event. Sleeping well guarantees you are relaxed, less stressed out, and most of all, naturally feeling better. The practice of sleeping earlier and well can help you release natural anti-oxidants, which helps repair the skin and get it prepared for another day. Actually it is a requirement.

Aside from smoking, it is also very important to avoid pollutants in general. This means that our anti-aging regimen should include avoiding exposure to excessive dust and pollution in the environment. We will need to protect our skin from the harmful rays of the sun as well.
